HOSOYA SCHAEFER is a Zürich based studio for architectural designs, strategies and research. It was founded by Markus Schaefer and Hiromi Hosoya in late 2003. Since then, the office has won a Contractworld Award for their first completed project. It has won the competition for a new Engadin Airport and for _martinska Partnership, a 230 ha integrated masterplan in Slovenia. Their project for an office building in Milan has received an acknowledgment from the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction. Both partners are professors at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna, a position which allows to further consolidate practical and theoretical research.
