Description
In order to use the existing foundation of the old footbridge, the new construction needed to be as thin and as light as possible. Thus the new bridge plate consists of an orthotropic steel construction, whereby its weight is reduced to less than the former bridge despite its double road surface width. The 75m long bridge has a thickness of only 68cm. Very few constructions attain the thinness of this elegant line.
