The position of the Midfield-site in Luxembourg asks for specific programming focusing in housing, diverse working environments and high added value commerce. The masterplan proposes a dense and vital urban core integrating the new station in a high quality and mixed use environment. It articulates vibrant public spaces, a prestigious residential offer and a motivating working environment, conditions for social and economic sustainability in the eyes of the public and private investors.

The main elements of the strategy are a central park, a ‘spider’ of slow traffic network and differentiated urban quarters: they form the backbone of the development strategy. To achieve the aimed differentiation a manual accompanies the plans of the masterplan in establishing quality guidelines for the future developments.
