After training and working as an architect, Tino's career diverged into film design. As an art director for digital sets, his designs have been featured in numerous big budget productions such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Golden Compass, V for Vendetta and the Harry Potter films. He mixes his design work at NAU with an academic career, teaching at the Univ. of Fine Arts in Berlin, Univ. of British Columbia, and the AA in London. He lectures extensively and is curating an exhibition on contemporary film design.
