Following studies in architecture and 3D animation in Berkeley, Berlin and Vancouver, Pia joined Zaha Hadid Architects in London. There she worked on the Signature Towers and later joined the Dubai Opera House cultural island. Since leaving ZHA, Pia shifted her focus on designing big scale events. She recently completed the film premieres for Sony Pictures' 007/ A Quantum of Solace, Dreamworks' Monsters vs Aliens and Paramount's new StarTrek. She now lives in LA where she is heading NAU Pacific with Tino Schaedler.
